With his evocative lyrics and atmospheric arrangements, nocloud has successfully achieved a genre blending sound that is uniquely his own. Highlighting themes of addiction and struggles with mental health, nocloud’s powerful vocals glide smoothly over moody productions which fuse R&B, indie, and alternative stylings. At the same time, nocloud has mastered a menacing trap sound, further exemplifying his versatility with grimy, 808-shattering sonics.
Coming from a weathered musical history which has spanned from metal bands all the way to trap, nocloud grew up in the urban sprawl of Chicago, Illinois. It was a fascination with Marilyn Manson which brought nocloud into music, but it was an Explosions in the Sky concert which made him realize making music was what he wanted to do for a career.
2018 saw the release of his debut album “Memoirs of you and I,” and his popular EP “Chamomile” was released a year later. This year, nocloud has also shared a constant stream of singles, including “yellow pills,” “when I see your face again” featuring Lil Lotus, and “moves” featuring Zubin.
Now at the top of 2020, nocloud began exploring a darker, more sinister trap sound. Check out his new video for Time Apart on youtube.
