Unapologetic, creative—and talented, the Alabama born emcee has garnered national attention for her blunt lyrics. She’s been featured in a Calvin Klein ad campaign, appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and graced California’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and Alabama’s Hangout Music Fest. The self-proclaimed ‘theater buff’ literally kicked down industry doors by building her fan base on social media.

A room full of hip-hop heads and eclectics alike filled the red-lit room in the LES and both performers brought their A-game. Diana Gordon hit the stage opening the show and poured her heart and soul into her performance. Fusing hip hop with the perfect touch of ratchet, Diana Gordon showcased an impressive vocal range.

Donning the stage in an oversized cheetah-print coat, Chika hit the stage to a round of applause. Appearing with a 5-piece band, she opened up with her newest single ‘Industry Games’ followed by a melange of musical rap/r&b contemporary music. Spitting several flows and rapping in pocket—Chika effortlessly skipped through ‘Balenci’s In My Closet’. Apparently the rapper/singer finds inspiration from the smallest things including her love for the shoe she once wanted… Balenciagas.

Connecting with the crowd in a confident but sometimes shy yet humble gratefulness, the 22-year old proves she’s just getting started.

Her EP drops March 13th on Warner Records.
