Recently, Floyd Mayweather said he would fight Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov for $600 million.
Speaking at an event at London’s York Hall, the former champion added to the already growing hype he has created for a potential return.
“Like we talked about on social media, there’s two names right now. We talked about the Conor McGregor fight, we talked about the Khabib fight,” said Mayweather to the Mirror.
“For myself, the number is $600m. If I’m going to go out there and risk it, it’d have to be worth it.”
Mayweather has been very vocal lately about his business acumen in sports entertainment. He has appeared on the popular podcast Drink Champs and also various speaking engagements.
In London, he also discussed how his career earnings have risen since purchasing his athletic freedom from Top Rank.
“Last time we went from $250m to $300m and hopefully we can break that this year.”
Mayweather’s fight against Manny Pacquiao in 2015 and Conor McGregor in 2017 are the number one and two highest-grossing pay-per-views in boxing history. With those benchmark, he made it clear his motivation to fight for the future.
“I don’t fight fighters or compete against competitors that only have cities behind them. If I’m going to fight you, you have to have a whole country behind you. The first fight was entertaining. It’s an entertainment business.”
