He won a unanimous decision victory over Yoel Romero in an otherwise boring fight.

The Nigerian born, New Zealand raised former dancer walked out of the tunnel with two rose bearers in tow.

The beautiful sisters tossed petals at his bare feet while Adesanya gave them a kingly entrance. It was replete with an African fly wisk made with animal hair to swat the haters away.

Fellow Nigerian and UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and Cameroonian heavyweight juggernaut Francis Ngannou were feeling it.

Adesanya has many in his short rise to the top that happened in under two years. Since becoming the champ, he has had Twitter beef with many “jonesing” to snatch that crown. From UFC light heavyweight king Jon “Bones” Jones to fellow middleweight Paulo Costa, like the show, “Everyone Hates Izzy”.

Last night gave the haters more ammunition as he turned in a lackluster performance against Romero. Although Izzy was clearly the busier fighter, the two never got into a rhythm that was pay-per-view worth.

Even UFC President Dana White admitted to having second thoughts about the fight once the snoozing unfolded.

Immediately, the “Bones” stans took to Twitter. They let everyone know that a dream matchup would see Izzy take an ‘L’. Adesanya has mentioned moving up to light heavyweight in the future.

The Big Show

Still, Izzy knows how to make an entrance. From his dope krumping walkout entrance at UFC 243 to his Prince Akeem impression last night, Adesanya entertains.

The fight had its moments though, like when Izzy attempted a crazy high backflip kick.

Also, when Romero attempted a low backflip kick.

This fight was all flash with very little substantive hits. Still, Adesanya retained his crown and will look to dance his way into pop culture again.
