DaBaby slapped a fan over the weekend at an after-party in Tampa. He would hop online to apologize to the woman, but after requesting for video of the incident citing that he was hit in the face by a phone.
The fan, Tyronesha Laws, was contacted by TMZ who detailed her side of the story, but also said she didn’t think the apology was sincere.
“We went upstairs on the stairway to take a picture at the picture booth by the stage,” she said. “I see security saying move, move, move everyone move out the way. I was standing next to a young lady and all of a sudden I turned around and I said to my boyfriend, ‘There go DaBaby, he’s coming through.'”
Tyronesha would also detail she was not with the woman with the camera, instead, it was a woman next to her. she also states the next day she would go to the hospital after her head was hurting, she would find out that she has a contusion to her cheekbone. After detailing her injury, Tyronesha would state DaBaby’s apology was not sincere because the jokes continued to come afterward.
“I don’t feel like he was sincere with the apology,” Tyronesha added. “I was embarrassed. I had people calling me, writing me on Instagram through fake pages, people seeing me at my job like, ‘You’re the girl that got slapped.’ It’s embarrassing. My daughter wakes up in the middle of the night crying over hearing me on the phone with my lawyer talking about the situation.”
