Court documents shared on Tuesday state convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein suggested that Jennifer Aniston “should be killed” after finding out the National Enquirer was planning to report he sexually assaulted her, Page Six report.
The statement came on Halloween in 2017 after a spokeswoman shared an email from the Enquirer with Weinstein. The email came as a stream of #MeToo allegations hit the former Hollywood heavyweight.
“Not sure if you saw this one. Jennifer Aniston,” wrote Sallie Hofmeister, a senior public relations executive wrote.
“Jennifer confided to a friend that during the production of the 2005 movie ‘Derailed’ Weinstein sexually assaulted her by pressing up against her back in [sic] grabbing her buttocks,” the email from the Enquirer said. “Through the years he would frequently stare at her cleavage/breast and move his mouth around making Jennifer uncomfortable.”
In an email returned from his iPhone, Weinstein wrote: “Jen Aniston should be killed.”
The reveal of his statement was included in documents filed in Manhattan Supreme Court but were available prior to Wednesday’s sentencing of his rape conviction.
Despite the email from The Enquirer, Aniston calls allegations of sexual harassment or assault toward her by Weinstein false.
Jennifer has never been harassed or assaulted by Harvey Weinstein,” publicist Stephen Huvane said. “He never got close enough to touch her and she has never been alone with him.”
