A Walmart store in Cynthia, Kentucky has announced an emergency leave after one of its employees have tested positive for coronavirus. According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there is a total of 849 cases of coronavirus in the United States.

US CEO of Walmart, John Furner shares that the employee is receiving medical care, as her condition is improving. “Walmart will continue to take precautions and actions to keep our stores, clubs and other facilities clean and ensure the well-being of our associates, customers, and members.”

Walmart promises that employers will receive up to 2 weeks’ pay if they are diagnosed with the deadly virus or have to be quarantined. The country’s largest private business also mentioned that if their employees are not able to return after two weeks, up to 26 weeks of extra compensation could be accommodated for both full and part-time workers of the facility. The policy covers all employers no matter when they were hired.
