Lil Yachty has been the talk of the town lately after the Georgia rapper has released “Oprah’s Bank Account” featuring Da Baby and Drake. The video depicts Yachyty dressing up as Oprah with Drake and DaBaby as guests on the show getting an interview, ending with the audience getting a boat as a parting gift.

Yachty shared with Complex his initial plan to get Lizzo on the hot new track, but things worked out to have Drake and DaBaby instead. “It’s so crazy because I originally wanted to put Lizzo on it,” said the rapper. “I sent it to her, and I don’t want to say she didn’t like it, because she never got back to me on it, which was cool. I understand people are busy.”

“I posted a snippet on my finsta. Drake follows my finsta, which is crazy,” he added. “He was like, ‘Yo, this is dope,’ which blew my mind. Of course, that’s the homie, but him showing love like that, was cool. Then he told me to send it through. I didn’t know he was serious, but he got on it.”

“DaBaby, he had a meet and greet in Atlanta, and I went. I didn’t necessarily know he was going to like this song or want to get on it… But I hung out with him for three or four hours there, and I was like, ‘You want to go to the studio?’ He came and I played it, and he loved it,” Yachty said.

Yachty, who dropped Lil Boat on March 9th, 2016 and Lil Boat 2 on March 9, 2018, is now ready to add a third edition to the series in 2020. Before the release of his new creative music video, the red hair recording artist told fans, “Lil Boat 3, coming soon. Thank you for your patience. Please enjoy the new single ‘Oprah’s Bank Account.'”
