A congratulation is in order for Black Ink Crew: Chicago star Charmaine and her husband Neek Bey. The couple welcomed their first child together, Nola Glenda Bey.
“Hearts are full #NolaGlendaBey was born yesterday at 4:41 6lbs 14 oz and 19.5 inches,” the radio host said in an Instagram post. “When I was pushing her out I had an image of my mom holding her and it was the most beautiful thing ever,” she shared along with photos of her daughter.
Charmaine’s mother Glenda Leverette Walker passed away during the 6thseason of Black Ink Crew: Chicago from a heart attack. In a heartbreaking Instagram post, Charmaine says the passing of her mother was the “worst day of her life.”
My mom was the absolute best! I still can’t believe she isn’t here anymore. I would hope that nothing in my future will compare to losing my mom. I literally wouldn’t be able to handle it.
She then goes on to say that her mother lost all four of her sisters before the age of 50 so it made her nervous but in the end, she realized that she had to enjoy her mother while she could.
“The week before she died I kept getting flashes of my mom in a hospital and a casket she continues, it was freaky.” I just told myself I was crazy.”
