2020 NFL free agency has been a quarterback carousel, to say the least. Phillp Rivers is on the move to Indianapolis.
Rivers will sign with the Colts, as many have expected for much of the offseason. He’s getting a one-year, $25 million deal, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports.
Rivers played 13 seasons with the Chargers in San Diego and moved with the franchise to Los Angeles for the last three years. The former Chargers quarterback won 5 playoff games with the team and 123 regular-season games.
The Colts went with Jacoby Brissett at quarterback last season, and clearly see Rivers as an upgrade. Rivers is reunited with Colts head coach Frank Reich and offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni, who are both former Chargers assistants.
Like Tom Brady, Rivers feel like he has something left in the tank. With a great young roster with the Colts, Rivers will be poised for one last ride.
