What’s better than one night of wrestling? How about two. WWE is doubling down during the Coronavirus pandemic and is giving its fans two nights of sports entertainment.
WWE announced Wednesday that WrestleMania will be a two-night event on April 4 and April 5th. To make things even more of the top, the event will be hosted by former New England Patriot Rob Gronkowski.
WWE is going to use the entire weekend to continue providing action for fans. Only essential personnel will be permitted to be at the event. WWE is also medically screening everyone.
WrestleMania will not only take place at WWE’s training facility but will include multiple locations over two nights.
This might be a way to ensure that they keep less than 50 people in the WWE Performance Center. Having the event spread out could provide the WWE to find new and creative ways to entertain the millions that will be tuning in.
In all honesty, last year’s WrestleMania was over 6 hours long. This new format was long overdue.
Naming Gronk as the host is a smart move without throwing him straight into a wrestling ring without the crowd. With everyone feigning for sports content, WWE is giving their fans a great two night fixing.
