Less than 24 hours after being released from the Los Angeles Rams, Todd Gurley found a new home with the Atlanta Falcons.

The Falcons and Gurley have agreed to a one year contract, according to ESPN.

The Falcons released their starting running back Devonta Freeman, allowing for Gurley to return to the stage of Georgia, where he played his college football.

Last year, the Falcons ranked dead last in the league in rushing. Gurley had a down year with the Rams last year, however, across his five seasons he rushed for 5,404 yards and 58 touchdowns and caught 218 passes for 2,090 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also won the 2017 NFL offensive Player of the Year.
