Two refrigerated medical examiner trailers were parked adjacent to the hospital while men wearing hospital masks and army fatigues set up a tunnel of white tents. NYPD and members of the Chief Medical Examiner’s office were also present.

The same site previously housed a temporary morgue for victims of the Sept. 11 terror attacks.

A source involved with the operation confirmed that more refrigerated trailers would be brought to Bellevue and other hospitals around the city to prepare for the worst.

Governor Andrew Cuomo also said the state had 25,665 confirmed cases of the contagious illness, with 14,904, nearly 60 percent, in New York City.
