Respect, the Aretha Franklin biopic starring Jennifer Hudson, is set for a Holiday season launch throwing the film in the awards season rollout. Originally set for October 9, the film is set to open with a limited release on Christmas Day, Deadline reports.

The film is directed by Liesl Tommy and will also bring Forest Whitaker, Marlon Wayans, Mary J. Blige, and Tituss Burgess alongside Hudson.

The film will be more widely available on January 8 before a full release on January 15, which is MLK weekend, a big one for the film season.

On MLK weekend the film will compete against Fatherhood, which will star Kevin Hart, Universal’s Simon Kinberg action movie 355, Warner Bros’ Mortal Kombat and more.
