More than 3.7million total firearm background checks were conducted through the FBI’s background check system in March, the highest number on record in more than 20 years.
Between coronavirus and the ever-growing unemployment rate, people believe this could lead to civil unrest.
The NRA has defended both the ability of gun stories to stay open during the coronavirus pandemic and Americans’ rush to buy guns as they fear how long government-mandated stay-at-home orders and shutdowns of businesses will last.
