The Weeknd has been expanding his brand past music and is now dipping in the animated comedy writing and voice acting lane.
The “Heartless” performer revealed on social media that he co-wrote an episode of TBS’ American Dad with writer Joel Hurwitz. The Weeknd is also featured in the episode playing himself. The episode is expected to air on May 4th.
The Weeknd is still flying high off the success of his latest LP After Hours that landed at #1 on the Billboard 200 with more than 440,000 album equivalent sales in its debut week.

The 30-year-old also made his acting debut in the Safdie Brothers film Uncut Gems starring Adam Sandler where The Weeknd plays a 2012 version of himself that was just starting to gain steam as an artist.
