Trump held a call Saturday with the commissioners of leading American pro sports, including the NFL’s Roger Goodell. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Trump told the commissioners he wanted the NFL season to start on time, and he hoped to have sports leagues playing in front of fans again by August or September.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the NBA is willing to lead the chargeback to action, once they get an all-clear for the public health officials.

Out of all the leagues, the NFL is in the best position to start on time.

While the nation is in the midst of a pandemic, this could be all wishful thinking for Trump. We have to crawl before we can even walk right about now in terms of getting a handle of the virus.

Trump wants the sports league back up and running, meanwhile, essential workers are trying to keep everything and everyone safe.
