The coronavirus may cancel some of the NFL’s training camps schedule but that doesn’t mean we’re not getting HBO’s Hard Knocks in 2020.

According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Hard Knocks will feature both the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers if the offseason calendar allows for it. Both of the teams have volunteered to be part of the show as they move into the new SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.

The Chargers have never appeared on Hard Knocks, while the Rams were featured on the show back in 2016. NFL Films is based in Los Angeles, so that would make it easier to cover both teams without traveling too much.

The idea of featuring two teams is likely because of a shortened offseason. In the past, the production crew would be filming through organized team activities (OTA), mini-camps, training camp and the preseason. A portion of the OTAs have already been canceled and it is reasonable to believe the same fate might be awaiting the rest of OTAs.

With sports fans hungry for any type of fresh content during the coronavirus pandemic, Hard Knocks should be a great fixing for the summer.
