Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker defeated teammate Deandre Ayton to win the NBA 2K20 Tournament.
For over two weeks, Booker went undefeated in the bracket. He defeated Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. and Washington Wizards forward Rui Hachimura. He then beat LA Clippers’ Montrezl Harrell before finishing Ayton in the finals.
The 16-player tournament broadcast on ESPN featured NBA stars playing against one another in NBA 2K20. The tournament was organized due to the NBA season being postponed from the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, these pro’s revealed additional talents in the e-sports realm leaving many moments that will be memorialized.
Booker went 2-0 over Deandre Ayton 2-0 on Saturday night. It gave the Phoenix Suns guaranteed braggadocio as Booker and Ayton are teammates. It also earned a $100,000 donation to a charity of Booker’s choice towards COVID-19 efforts.
Booker went undefeated in the bracket over the past two weeks, defeating Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr., Washington Wizards forward Rui Hachimura and LA Clippers big man Montrezl Harrell prior to meeting Ayton in the finals.
In the finals, Booker picks the Houston Rockets in the first game and the Nuggets in the second. Ayton chose the Los Angeles Lakers and the Milwaukee Bucks, but it wasn’t enough.
Booker defeated Ayton 72-62 in Game 1. In-Game 2 he won 74-62.
