The Verzuz series curated by Timbaland and Swizz Beatz have been the highlight of the quarantine. Hip-Hop fans are eager to see sworn enemies, 50 Cent and Ja Rule, go hit-for-hit on Instagram live but that may never happen.
Fat Joe and Swizz were on the phone talking about the possibilities of the battle which prompted Fat Joe to call Ja and surprisingly he agreed to it. The only thing that was standing in the way was Fifty, and we all know he’s King Petty!
Fif’ who is an active Instagram user, made his first post of the day around 10:00 pm giving a “moment of silence for the sick and suffering.”
The mogul followed up with a post of Ja’s face edited on to a homeless man holding a cardboard that reads, “I will battle 50 Cent for attention.”
This will be a huge moment for the culture if 50 Cent can put his ego aside because they both have timeless hits and will put on a good battle.
But it looks like it’s never happening and the only thing we can do is continue debating about who we think would win on Twitter *Kanye shrugs*
