Angie Martinez is taking advantage of the extended social distancing guidelines by accomplishing a dream of hers from home. The legendary Radio Personality revealed on social media that she is working on a screenplay.
“No better time to push pat my comfort zone. I’ve always dreamed of writing a screenplay & then bringing it to life. Here goes nuthin…” The Power 105.1 Personality wrote on Instagram.
Martinez has had a noteworthy career in radio, and since she transitioned from being on-air at Hot 97 to local competitor Power 105.1 in 2014, the “Voice of New York” has expanded her brand beyond the microphone.
Angie released her autobiography My Voice in 2016 and in 2019 launched her WeTV show Untold Stories of Hip-Hop.
In November, Martinez revealed that she had been in a severe car accident that required months of therapy before she could get back to work. In the accident, she suffered a fractured lumbar and shattered vertebrae.
