Celebrities have been stepping in recently to help where they can amid the coronavirus outbreak. Meek Mill has auctioned off his Rolls Royce Phantom, Yo Gotti has auctioned off his Rolex and tour bus, and Diddy has hosted a Dance-A-Thon, all in efforts to raise money for coronavirus relief.
Diddy’s hour-long Instagram live stream helped raise 3 million dollars. At a point in the live stream, Diddy caught some heat after fans accused the hip-hop mogul of being “fatphobic” after allowing Draya to twerk, but shutting Lizzo down. Diddy later explained himself in response to all of the controversy. “My queen, my sister, Lizzo, when I stopped the music, it’s because it had a lot of curses in there. Not because she was twerking. She’s one of the best twerkers in the world, okay?” he penned. “So let’s keep that clear. It wasn’t about twerking. You’re allowed to twerk on Easter. There was a lot of cursing on the record and I don’t need child services knocking on my door right now, you understand?”
In a live interview, Christian Combs, son of Diddy states that he may have to give the twerk crown to Lizzo after all. “Real quick, speaking of this Dance-A-Thon. My whole question to you real quick is who was the best twerker? Lizzo or Draya?” Combs was asked. “Might have to give that to Lizzo, I ain’t gon’ lie, she was going a little too crazy,” Combs answered as he chuckled. “You know the funny thing about it, my pop didn’t even see that she was twerking. He really just heard the music. He wasn’t even in the frame if you watch the video back,” he continued.
Fans in the comments seem to still believe that the reasoning is a bit fabricated, but it’s safe to say its all love between Diddy and Lizzo!
