Odell Beckham Jr is a game-changing wide receiver. Heading into his second season as a Cleveland Browns player, the team wouldn’t possibly consider trading him?
WFAN’s Marc Malusis said on his show Wednesday morning that a source told him the Browns and Minnesota Vikings have discussed details of a potential trade involving Beckham. The deal would supposedly see a second-round draft pick and fifth-round pick go to Cleveland in exchange for Beckham Jr.
ESPN’s Dan Graziano and Jeremy Fowler reported after the NFL Scouting Combine that the Browns were planning to have Beckham on their roster in 2020, but “they’d think about” trading him if another team blew them away with an offer.
The Browns has stated in the past that trading Beckham Jr wasn’t something they’re entertaining. While the Vikings would have a salary cap issue making a move for Beckham, the team is loaded with 12 picks in this year’s upcoming NFL Draft.
If the Browns are secretly shopping Beckham Jr, usually around the draft is the best time to do so.
