The NBA’s latest campaign, NBA Together, is the leaguewide, global community outreach and social engagement campaign. It supports, engages, educates and inspires youth, families, fans and the general public. In its latest PSA, Horford shines awareness on the impact the global pandemic has on the world, especially in communities of color. The partnership also ensures that those underserved communities will receive the information, resources, and support needed to restore their livelihood.

“The Coronavirus is affecting everyone, everywhere,” says the 5-time NBA All-Star. “But in communities of color, this pandemic amplifies the real-life consequences of pre-existing social and economic inequalities.”

Through the NBA Together campaign, the league, teams, players and owners have provided more than $89 million towards support and relief. Players and teams have donated more than 7.5 million meals to food-insecure populations. In addition, players and teams have supplied more than 10.2 million PPE masks to healthcare workers. The NBA continues to be a leading organization in the fight against COVID-19.

The league also announced recently that it plans to resume play in July, giving fans more to look forward to.
