For decades now, it’s been believed that Michael Jordan made the call to not have Isiah Thomas on the 92 dream team. Well, it looks like we finally got confirmation.

Despite Jordan’s denials, an audio recording released by Jack McCallum on The Dream Team Tapes podcast seems to confirm Jordan was a big reason for Thomas’ omission.

Jordan is heard on tape saying he would not play if Thomas were on the team, which won gold at the 1992 Olympics.

“Rod Thorn called me. I said, ‘Rod, I won’t play if Isiah Thomas is on the team.’ He assured me. He said, ‘You know what? Chuck doesn’t want Isiah. So, Isiah is not going to be part of the team.’”

Jordan didn’t like Thomas and this seems to confirm that. Thorn, who drafted Jordan wasn’t going to side against his wishes.

Jordan is king petty. The two Hall of Famers still don’t like each other to this day. At this point, it is what it is. Sorry, Thomas.
