Following the death of George Floyd, Ice Cube called off his scheduled appearance on Good Morning America.

Cube was scheduled to appear on Good Morning America, to discuss his Big 3 league, musical legacy, and the state of American society. Instead, Cube decided that America has failed us, and canceled his appearance. The legendary rapper/producer — once a member of the controversial group N.W.A. said he’s just not in the mood. After posting a photo of him holding an ax he decided he couldn’t go forward in a cheery mood while black men in America are brutally murdered.

He went on Twitter to apologize to his loyal fans. “I apologize to everyone expecting to see me on Good Morning America today, but after the events in Minnesota with George Floyd I’m in no mood to tell America, good morning.”
