As protests continue to spread nationwide, more and more people of means are committing finances to support protestors who are arrested by police. Former model and Wife of John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, plans to commit $200,000 to bail out of protestors.
The hashtag #MAGANight was trending on Twitter on Saturday and Teigen seems to have taken issue with the Twitter topic. In response to the trend, the mother of 2 offered her finances to the #MAGA opposition.
“In celebreation of whatever the f— maga night is, I am committed to donating $100,000 to the bail outs of protestors across the country,” Teigen tweeted on Saturday afternoon. She later doubled that 100k offer in a separate tweet.
Teigen is one of many celebrities who have gotten behind the people protesting the killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery. Insider followed celebs making financial donations with people like Don Cheadle, Kehlani, Patton Oswalt, and Seth Rogen floating some cash toward the cause.
