Keke Palmer has been using her platform to support the Black Lives Matter movement and share valuable information about steps to get reform.
Strahan, Sara, & Keke co-host took to Instagram to share what many of us was thinking about the upcoming Presidential election. âI donât like any of the candidates. Let me pose this questionâŠIf you are on an island and you are starving and you have a few great options for foodâŠare you going to choose the best out of the few âokayâ options you have, the one that aligns the most with your appetite, or are you going to starve to death and die? Up to you, just asking.â
The post was accompanied with a caption that read, âI once thought voting was useless. But now Iâm STARVING STARVING. ITS A FAMINE IN THIS B*TCHâŠâ
The child star isn’t just talking the talking, she’s also walking the walk. Keke Palmer went viral during a peaceful protest in Los Angeles and she spoke to some of the National Guards who were present under President Donald Trump’s order. “You have a president talking about the Second Amendment as a use for people to come out here and use firearms against the people protesting. We have a president thatâs trying to incite a race war, and when the borders are closed. We canât leave. You have people in here that need your help.”
The guards opted to kneel instead of marching and she flat out said, “That’s not enough.”
The actress and singer published an op-ed piece and spoke about her experience with the National Guard and explained that authorities kneeling is a mockery because that’s what killed George Floyd. “Now we see police officers kneeling and then, moments later, attacking peaceful protesters. At this point, the kneeling has no meaning.â
