Just one day after Dame Lillard was announced, NBA phenom rookie Zion Williamson is announced as the second cover star for NBA 2K21.
The Pelicans superstar spoke with Marc Spears of The Undefeated in reaction to the cover.
“It’s one of those emotions I’m still processing,” Williamson said. “It’s a dream come true. At those AAU tournaments, you’re looking at the cover thinking ‘That’s gonna be me.’ For it to happen that fast, it’s a huge honor.”
Many believed Zion would be a cover star after he was featured in the trailer for the forthcoming game during the Playstation 5 event. Zion will be the cover star for the edition of the game for PS5 and Xbox Series X. Lillard will be for the current generation of consoles.
