Megan thee Stallion took to Twitter today to address the recent shooting incident and people making fun of her situation.
Sunday morning, Tory Lanez was arrested after LAPD officers found a gun in his car. In the original incident report, Meg reportedly stated that she needed to be treated for glass in her foot. However, just a couple days later, Meg made an announcement on her Instagram, stating that she had been shot twice in the foot and an attempt was made on her life.
“On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me,” she wrote in the public note. “I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets. I’m incredibly grateful to be alive and that I’m expected to make a full recovery, but it was important for me to clarify the details about this traumatic night.”
A video was soon released from the incident. It was later revealed that Tory Lanez was the person who shot Megan in the foot. While the motive for the shooting is still unknown, Tory reportedly fired the shots inside the vehicle when Megan attempted to leave.
Since the incident, Lanez has been released on $35,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court in October.
