Nicki Minaj announced on social media that she has a baby on the way. The Queens rapper said she’d be taking time off from music to focus on having a baby and it seems that Mr. and Mrs. Petty delivered.
Nicki posted pregnancy pictures to her Instagram account on Monday. Fans had speculated since the release of the video for Tekashi 6ix9ine’s “Trollz” that Minaj was pregnant and it appears the fans were right.
The 37-year-old rapper married her hometown bae Kenneth Petty last year and had already made plans to have a baby. With the world essentially shut down for those in the music industry, it seems like the married couple’s quarantine did them justice.
Nicki did not reveal how far along she is in the pregnancy. “Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement and gratitude. Thank you all for the love and well wishes,” Nick wrote on IG.
