UFO is on a different frequency than many of his peers. His sound infuses Trap melodies with “Hood Pop.” After recently moving to Los Angeles, UFO’s biggest challenge has been acclimating himself to the city while creating a foundation to be able to pursue music full time. He is currently working on his third single, which means the most to him thus far.
UFO cites Kanye West, Bone Thugs N Harmony, and Mike Jack as the biggest influences to his music. He has also found influences in oldies after being raised by his grandmother. His move to Texas helped to familiarize the sounds of trap music. During an interview, UFO shared that he would have collaborated with artists who are no longer with us. However, he hopes to work with female artists such as, Doja Cat and Lana Del Rey!
Although UFO is an independent artist, he is only interested in distribution or partnership deals because he wants to keep the integrity of his brand by not losing control of his vision. He furthers this idea with the best advice he was ever given saying, “Stay out the way and protect your energy.”
UFO is drawn to festivals and shows that display mixes of genres and demographics. For this reason, he would choose to perform at Lollapalooza or SXSW because he feels like his unique music would resonate best in those settings. Most recently UFO dropped his single “Distractions,” which has been well received since its release. He is also set to release more new over the next couple months.
