Chrissy Stokes recently dropped her debut EP, Taken. While Stokes is tapping into her musical prowess, she is well versed on what it takes to be a successful artist. Her 15-track debut features Marques Houston and B2K’s J-Boog, both who she considers as uncles. During her recording process, she played both songs for the two. Their enjoyment of the tracks led to the completion of “Alright” with J-Boog and “F.L.Y.” featuring Marques Houston. Throughout the project, the Los Angeles songstress blends new age R&B with the sonic nostalgia of the 90s. Not only do listeners receive the audio with Taken, but video as well. Chrissy released 10 videos to give insight into the vision behind the music.

She cites Whitney Houston and Brandy as her musical inspirations.

Her passionate pursuits are not only limited to music. She also stars as ‘Nicki’ in the Urbanflix series, “Howard High.” The show is set to resume production at the top of 2021.
