Loonie Blue a known fixture of Canada’s gritty Rexdale neighbourhood returned with another grungy and explosive release on December 18th 2020 called “Life Goes On.” This is a follow up to his first rock tinged song “Don’t Cry” which was his first release of 2020. With his cult European fan base it is on track to be his biggest release of his career. Loonie Blue has overcome a tragic past, growing up in one of the most notorious “Hoods” in Canada, Rexdale. The streets was all he knew but he used music to overcome these dire circumstances. You can trace his origin in music all the way back to 2012. He has appeared in countless Cyphers and freestyle videos, one being B.E.T’s popular Freestyle Friday. It wasn’t until 2017 he forced himself into the music industry with his release “White Boy” which helped to solidify his name. Since then he has released a handful of music videos and opened up for Ski Mask the Slump God’s European leg of his tour. Loonie has amassed a cult following globally but it wasn’t until he visited countries like Sweden and Denmark he transitioned to his newly “Rock / Grunge” sound. This new sound really connected with his fan base and he is on track to release a lot of music in 2021. Fast forward to today Loonie Blue is under the OVO affiliated record label “Control Room 3,” working on his debut EP and some surprise features for 2021.
