During the month, Peloton will launch a one-of-a-kind apparel collection that celebrates Black artists across the globe. The collection will bring four unique Black artists to create 18 custom apparel pieces that will honor Black stories. Each creator will have their own story to tell, while also highlighting the power of their voices and experiences within the Black diaspora through art. The artists are partnered with two Black Peloton Instructors to create artwork that resonates with Peloton’s brand values. The artists included are:

Temi Coker (Dallas, TX) – Temi is a Multidisciplinary artist, creating bold and visually compelling artwork inspired by his upbringing in Nigeria, along with his love for African culture. His collection – developed alongside instructors Jess Sims and Chelsea Jackson Roberts –  is titled “Light the Way,” which captures the power of education within the Black community.

He collaborated with instructors Adrian Williams and Tunde Oyeneyin to bring to life the collection, “Bring Your Whole Self.” Capturing the magnetic personalities of both instructors, Hust created art that embodies their unique stories, every color and word representing a moment of power or inspiration in their lives.

Monica Ahanonu (Los Angeles, CA) – Monica has had a fruitful career in illustration and is considered by many to be an expert in color theory, vector illustration and design. Her collection, “United We Move,” was designed with instructors Ally Love and Hannah Frankson, and each piece represents the beauty that is created when people from varying Black cultures come together to move as one.

Sanford Greene (Lexington County, SC) – Sanford is a seasoned illustrator that has worked for publishers like Marvel, DC, Dark Horse and Image Comics. “Come Into Your Power” is the collection he worked on with instructors Chase Tucker and Alex Toussaint, which features God and Goddess creations that not only embody Black representation at Peloton, but also the power, beauty, strength and wisdom within the Black community.

In addition Peloton will support The Steve Fund, the largest nonprofit focused on mental health for people of color in the U.S., during Black History Month.

The investment will be $100,000 and will assist The Steve Fund in developing and delivering unrgently needed mental health and emotional well-being resources and programs for young people of color and their families. Beyond Black History Month, Peloton continues to deliver on the Peloton Pledge, a $100M commitment to becoming an antiracist company.
