With famous artists in his roster of collaborations, DJ SpinKing surely has talent. Born in the Bronx and raised in New Jersey, DJ SpinKing is spinning (pun intended) the music world. At the age of 28, he already has 2 songs that were on the Billboard 100 and double Platinum.
In just 7 years, DJ SpinKing is hailed as the DJ Khaled of his generation. His talent and ear for great music have landed him with world-renowned artists like 50 Cent, ASAP Rocky, Tyga and Meek Mill, just to name a few on his projects. He also has unreleased music with Lil Durk and Pop Smoke.
DJ SpinKing features songs that pump up almost every mood and fiber in your body. To put it simply, his songs are the kind that you jive to with your friends. It’s also that kind of music you can listen to during long drives.
As of writing, DJ SpinKing is working on a single called “I Got” feat O.T. Genasis & Fivio Foreign. DJ SpinKing is dominating the internet as well. He currently has more than 100 million listens on Spotify alone. He has over 100 million views on YouTube and has hundreds of followers on Instagram, Twitter, & Facebook.
On top of that, he is an excellent producer and entrepreneur. DJ SpinKing spearheads the record label called DNR, a brand he and his brothers started. Currently, DNR has a joint venture with Warner Music and Asylum, which are home to artists like Ed Sheeran, Madonna, and David Guetta. At a young age, he and his two older brothers worked in a club. His brothers were promoters and he was the DJ.
That’s when they realized that they can combine their talents and skills to start a business. Eventually, the business expanded and was known as DNR.
When asked how he’s able to do all of these, DJ SpinKing got one word for us― family. It’s his family who shaped, motivated, and supported him throughout his journey. In a gist, DJ SpinKing owes it all to his family. When he was a child, he had fallen in love with music, videos, and production. He always had the eye and ear for these.
His parents and brothers encouraged him to be the best he can be. When he got older, DJ SpinKing figured that he must at least give it a try. But he didn’t just try. He flourished. He conquered. When asked what he’s most proud of, DJ SpinKing said, “I am most proud of seeing my parents watch me DJ. They’re so proud and supportive. That’s what’s important.”
If there’s one thing DJ SpinKing taught us, it’s that family (even those who are not biologically related to us) matters. In DJ SpinKing’s case, his family’s support helped him build a successful record label and get collaborations with well-known artists. You can know more about DJ SpinKing through his website, and Instagram, Twitter, & Facebook accounts.
