The Brooklyn Nets could use a bit of defensive help after allowing the Washington Wizards to run up nearly 150 points in regulation. It is now on the way as the Nets have announced the signing of Iman Shumpert.

Last season, Shumpert played for the Nets for a month, averaging 4.2 points and 2.6 rebounds across a span of 13 games. There is also familiarity with the Nets starting point guard Kyrie Irving as they won a championship together in 2016.
