According to several conformed reports, two FBI agents were shot and killed following a child pornography raid in Sunrise, Florida, just south of Fort Lauderdale.

Special agents and investigators Daniel Alfin and Laura Schwartzenberger were shot and killed in a hail of gunfire after attempting to serve a warrant on a man wanted on child pornography charges. 

“Special Agent Alfin and Special Agent Schwartzenberger exemplified heroism today in defense of their country,” said FBI Director Christopher Wray in a statement yesterday. “The FBI will always honor their ultimate sacrifice and will be forever grateful for their bravery.”

Alfin and Schwartzenberger lost their lives while three others were wounded in the gunfire. It is believed that the shooter/suspect was killed after barricading himself in his home.
