After agreeing to move on from each other, the Houston Rockets are preparing to waive DeMarcus Cousins.
ESPN reveals the minimum $2.3 million salary of Cousins was guaranteed by the team as a form of appreciation. So far this season, Cousins has averaged 9.6 points and 7.6 rebounds through 25 games of the season.
The seperation of Cousins and the Rockets comes after the former was not satisfied with his role and is seeking to get more playing time.
The Rockets are currently in the middle of an eight-game slid and a rocky season after the departure of James Harden.
