Since 2019’s breakout “Orange Soda,” Baby Keem has deferred a meteoric rise for a strategic entry that has set the young rapper up as one of the most anticipated voices in the newest class of artists wedging their way into mainstream notice.
As such, his position with Dave Free and Kendrick Lamar’s pgLang label has seen the Vegas artist keeping a rather low profile, save for a cameo in the label’s collaborative Calvin Klein ad campaign.
Now Keem returns with a first outing of 2021 with his latest “No Sense” track, regressing to his familiar monochromatic imagery to accompany the emotive new cut as he navigates lamentations of young love and the energy of brewing stardom.
“You know he only love you when your pants off/I showed you light, I showed you grown man talk/Age differences between us, on our last, dawg/I’m comin’ home, why you always on the edge, dawg?”
All eyes currently rest on the west coast upstart as we patiently await the follow up to his DIE FOR MY B*TCH debut album. The new cut follows up on last year’s “Hooligan” and “Sons & Critics Freestyle” tracks, offering a semblance of a preview to the forthcoming project.
