Kanye West might be having relationship troubles, but his sneaker game is still on point. Over the weekend, his Yeezy 450 in Cloud Whites reportedly sold out in under a minute online, despite some mockery about the cloud-like design. The offering was quickly followed by the unveiling of the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Ash Pearl” design.
The “Ash Pearl” is considered a “lifestyle” sneaker and has all of the colors perfect for spring fashion. The shoe features three clearly defined sections, each separated by a small pearl-like border. The upper lateral layer features locked lacing (common in many Yeezy sneaker designs) and is a textured sandy The mid-layer is a darker beige color, with a tighter weave than the top layer. Both layers appear to be reminiscent of colors of sand, which further compliments the bottom layer, which is a series of multi-directional weaves of blues and white, perhaps a nod to ocean vibes. The bottom is a combo bone and cream-colored gum sole.
The “Ash Pearl” is part of the 350 V2 lineup, which already includes the “Ash Stone” and “Ash Blue” colorways.
The “Ash Pearl” and Yeezy 450 in Cloud White are just two of several Yeezy sneakers that are expected to be released this month. Other sneakers that either have been or are expected to be released include the 700 V2 “Cream,” the BOOST 380 “Covellite,” the YZY QNTM “Sea Teal,” the Foam Runner in “Sand,” and the “MXT Moon Gray,”
The Yeezy line, which has been a collaboration between West and Adidas since 2015, is known for its limited-edition unique colorways as well as a variety of sneakers in the Yeezy Boost sneakers lineup offerings.
The shoe, which reportedly retails for $220 USD, will be dropping on Saturday, March 20th on Adidas.com/Yeezy.
