Billboard notes the song is currently in the No. 3 slot and is the first song in history to spend a year in the top ten of the chart. The closest to The Weeknd is “Circles” by Post Malone, which registers at 39 weeks.
The power of “Blinding Lights” has also led The Weeknd to have the most weeks spent in the Top 5 as it has been there for 4 weeks.
