An anthem about a woman who doesn’t let the guy get away with breaking her heart. In the single,  Nathalie Miranda searched for authentic 70s vibes to make the song sound like it was produced in the 70s. She has even paid homage to her idol, Freddie Mercury in the video. She recreates Freddie’s infamous microphone in the video. If you have heard her songs, you would know this – Nathalie’s singles are completely different. She loves to experiment with different styles and sounds and that is what makes her unique as an artist.

‘Battle Scars’ is a complete departure from the smooth, soulful stylings of the previous single ‘Catch-22’. The voice is unmistakably Nathalie Miranda. That distinctive, raw, passionate sound that is hard to ignore. But the new single, while sounding slightly more aggressive, is in fact a positive message about self-empowerment, and turning a negative experience into a positive one. Nathalie explains, “We all go through bad break-ups, and at the time, it seems that it’s the worst thing in the world! But there is always something to be gained from negative times in our lives. In the case of ‘Battle Scars’, the protagonist has realised that she has been left with these marks on her heart but she has overcome the pain, and she has come back stronger to let the guy know that she won’t let him get away with what he did. She has taken on the role of a powerful, confident woman that she wasn’t able to do when she was with him.”

Her Creativity In Music Has No Bounds!

Nathalie also collaborates with other writers and features as a vocalist on several House tracks. She also appeared on a ‘Later… with Jools’ show in 2018 as a backing vocalist for the British band James. With her true ambition to be on centre stage and releasing her own music for the world to enjoy, she slowly pursued it with more expertise, creativity and time. She has performed many special live streams and exclusive online performances on live streaming platforms. Her releases ‘Bulletproof (EP)’, ‘Poltergeist’, ‘Catch-22’, and ‘Battle Scars’ are all available on streaming platforms.

Nathalie shares, ‘Diversity is extremely important. Number one; diversity makes for a richer life experience. Everyone has a different view, culture, favourite film, singer and so on. This is what makes life fun; the differences between us. We should celebrate these differences.

Number two; it’s important so that we can educate ourselves about other cultures around the world and gain perspective. Number three; it will help promote acceptance. Through exposure to film, TV shows, documentaries, we might find that we have more in common with other cultures than we thought. But it’s also okay to be totally different!’

Aside from promoting her latest single ‘Battle Scars’, Nathalie is currently working on some new projects which are planned to be released in 2021. You can visit Nathalie Miranda’s website to find out more about her music.
