DMV’s Leo Amari Leads The Pack With “Shoota”

There are different eras in Hip-Hop filled with artists who have contributed to the legacy of a multi-billion dollar industry. An artist out of the DMV area (DC, Maryland, Virginia) is standing on the shoulders of giants who built this culture. His name is Leo Amari and he is making his mark in the world of Hip-Hop.  This rapper, vocalist, musician and producer is leaving no room for error as he makes his way through a lane traveled by many. He was once a part of a group. However, he launched his solo career and he has been making strides ever since.

Taking the business seriously, Leo Amari tapped some high profile producers who have worked with some of the iconic artists in the industry. He has been in the studio with many skilled songwriters and producers including Yung Berg (Hitmaka), a Grammy-nominated producer/songwriter – who has worked with icons, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, and Jason Derulo to name a few. His latest project is an EP entitled, Juno Tape, is a three-song series set to release this spring. The songs included in the series; Shoota, Pull Up and Say My Name are guaranteed to add to the body of work that has made a major impact in the culture.

Publicist Lynn Hobson admits, “Yes, Leo Amari is one of many artists to place his bid in the game. However, there is a lane for his artistry and he is going to knock down walls and open doors in the house that was built for rappers of his era. He came to play and he is going to win in this game – packed with rappers who weren’t built to run a marathon. I’ll see him at the finish line. I know a winner when I see one.”
