ESPN reports, Thompson was sent out and in exchange, the Celtics received guard Kris Dunn and center Bruno Fernando from the Atlanta Hawks and guard Josh Richardson from the Dallas Mavericks.

It was the second time Thompson was traded during the day and he will now ultimately be on the Sacramento Kings. Last season, Thompson averaged 7.6 points and 8.1 rebounds, while appearing in 54 games.
