It’s time for new music from The Weeknd, and the Canadian pop star confirmed it via Twitter.
Early morning on August 2, the Blinding Lights singer tweeted,“f**k it … IT STARTS TONIGHT.”
Then two hours later, he shared a video of a new track called, “The Dawn Is Coming.”
This news came days after The Weeknd disabled all his social media handles, but prior to that, he warned fans that he had new music coming.
Last month, the X.O artist also tweeted that he’s really “proud” of his new project and called it “a full body of work”.
A week later The Weeknd released a new song “Better Believe” with his friend and co-worker Belly. He also featured on a remix of Ariana Grande’s track “Off the table.”
This new project will be The Weeknd’s first full body of music since he dropped After Hours. The album won 10 Billboard Music Awards including top artist, top male artist, and top Hot 100 artist.
He also won the International Male Solo Artist award at the Brit Awards 2021 and is set to receive the Quincy Jones Humanitarian Award, at the first annual Music in Action Awards, hosted by the Black Music Action Coalition.
