As customary with Issa Drives of the past, 21 Savage was on hand and handed out school supplies including backpacks, notebooks, and headphones, as well as uniforms and shoes. The event was held under the safety of COVID-19 guidelines and included a BBQ, cotton candy, popcorn, Twice as Nice Italian ice, two-game trucks, two bounce houses, and an inflatable basketball goal.

The back-to-school drive follows the national Bank Account at Home extension of the FInancial Literacy Campaign started by Savage and the educational non-profit organization Get Schooled. The COVID-19 forced a successful integration of the campaign to an online platform, “Bank Account at Home,” which launched in July 2020. 21 Savage also continued his support of underserved youth in Atlanta by making a $25,000 donation to the City of Atlanta’s #ATLStrong COVID-19 relief fund, established by Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms.
