The late, Shock G of Digital Underground, who’s real name is Gregory Jacobs will be honored in Oakland, California. 

Shock’s manager, Atron Gregory, confirmed the city-wide event will be held on August 21st. The event will pay tribute to the man who created the Humpty Dance and so much more.

According to reports, the late rapper’s family will begin the day feeding two-thousand homeless.  City officials say the celebration will wrap up with live performances, speakers and more. 

Following the event there will be an after-party held at the New Parish Hotel with several DJs working the turntables.

Shock G died of an accidental overdose of fentanyl, alcohol and methamphetamine on April 22, 2021. The “Same Song” rapper was 57.
