Hutch The Drummer is The Result of Hard Work & Talent

Born on the 2nd of May, Hutch is a drummer and producer from Utah who looks to bring back the classical spirit and style to modern music, giving it their own modern stylistic production twist. The nickname started in high school and has stuck with them since.

A long-time drummer, since the age of 8 to be exact, Hutch only just started collaborating with other producers and singers a little over a year ago. However, that does not mean they can’t perform: what Hutch lacks in experience is made up for in originality and the sheer hunger to be heard and appreciated by the masses.

Every person has some inspiration. It could be a fellow artist, an idol, something a teacher once said, or any number of other things. But for Hutch, their biggest inspiration is their mom, who has supported them through their entire journey and who they say they’d be nothing without.

A natural pocket drummer, Hutch prefers genres that have more groove and pizzazz. This means genres that are more likely to incorporate the essence of drums both in volume and in execution. Genres like R&B, soul, and funk are the best examples.

Having worked with LA Salami, another underappreciated artist whose work deserves recognition, Hutch already has some notable work in his portfolio. Hutch also has a wide variety of framing demos that showcase his raw talent and develop the concepts for music videos himself.

Hutch aspires to one day become prolific enough to feature on a drumming magazine since he believes that to be the peak of drumming excellence. Stevie Wonder is a hero of Hutch’s and someone they wish they could have worked with.

Not signed to a record label as of yet, it is not something that bothers Hutch too much. To them, it’s more about the art and producing music that is fulfilling for them and their fans. Not that they would pass up the chance to sign to a record label, just that it isn’t the end all be all.
