The latest edition of the Nike MLB City Connect series jerseys belongs to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Nike and MLB clubs partnered to design jerseys inspired by their cities to celebrate new baseball traditions and help grow the game of baseball.
The inaugural season of Nike MLB City Connect Series will feature seven teams: Arizona Diamondbacks, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, Miami Marlins, and San Francisco Giants.
The Dodgers City Connect jersey celebrates the Los Angeles connection of culture and sport. The jersey is designed to unite all Angelenos through their passion for the Dodgers, their color, and a shared pursuit of greatness. The jersey serves as a tribute to the fan base that has held down the team for six decades.
Dropping ahead of Latino Heritage Month, the new jersey brings “Los Dodgers” to the chest. It highlights the deep connection between the team and the Latino community and the importance of the team’s Latino fans and players.
On the jersey’s sleeves, a spray-paint design honors L.A.’s mural culture. Throughout the city, artists have illustrated iconic Dodgers’ moments that commemorate the club’s legacy and its players.
